Painful Steps

Playing with my dog at the park I jammed my big toe trying to kick his tennis ball. But, my foot hit the concrete before it hit the ball and this is the result in the photo. It happened yesterday and now it's way worst because I didn't go to the hospital.

With all the surgeries I have had and being a Diabetic for so long I know better than to wait. Sometimes it's hard for me to go to the doctor. Not just financial reasons but also emotional and mental ones too.

My mom took the best care of me and anyone can agree. Me big brother was so much more than just me sibling. He was me coach, supporter, and amazing father figure. I was blessed to have family and friends that had my back. Most importantly, my medical team was, and still is, phenomenal.

With all that in my head and heart I have to swallow my pride and so whatever I know to be right. So, ⬇️⬇️

I went to see my podiatrist and I'll be wearing a boot for about 2.5 months. I fractured my toe in two areas. As we all know I also have to keep an close eye on my glucose levels she to the pain and the meds. If ever you're not sure on what to do, please contact your doctor or dial 911. Don't do what I did or you too will have days off PANFUL STEPS.
